Description

The Carmex Carbide Tiny Tool Boring Bar is a compact, solid carbide tool designed for precise boring and versatile turning tasks. With a 5.1 mm minimum boring diameter, 15 mm reach, and a nose radius of R0.05, it enables accurate holes in tight spaces. Built on the MTR K20 grade, this tiny tool offers coating options to optimize performance across stainless steels and general materials.

  • Coated for low-speed stainless steel work: The BXC PVD TiN coating is designed for low cutting speeds and broad stainless steel compatibility (ISO P30-P50 / K25-K40), reducing wear and helping you achieve consistent finishes.
  • BMK sub-micron grade with triple coating: BMK uses advanced PVD triple coating for exceptional heat resistance and smooth cutting, providing reliable performance across demanding materials (ISO K10-K20).
  • Compact, precise geometry for tight bores: With a 5.1 mm minimum diameter, 15 mm reach, and an R0.05 nose radius, this tool delivers accurate, clean holes in confined spaces while minimizing finishing passes.

This combination of compact size, reliable carbide construction, and coating choices helps you complete boring and general turning tasks more efficiently. The tool’s wear-resistant coatings and high-heat performance translate to longer tool life, fewer changes, and more predictable results across a variety of materials, making it a dependable choice for engineers, machinists, and hobbyists alike.
