Description

The Carmex Carbide Tiny Tool is a compact boring bar crafted from solid carbide, designed for precise boring and capable of handling general turning tasks. With a 5.1 mm minimum diameter, 22 mm reach, and a 0.1 mm nose radius, it fits into tight cavities while delivering stable cuts.

Two coating options expand its versatility: BXC TiN coated grade for low cutting speeds and stainless steels (ISO P30-P50 / K25-K40) and BMK sub-micron grade with triple PVD coating for high heat resistance and smooth cutting across materials (ISO K10-K20).

  • TiN-coated BXC grade for stainless steels: reduces friction and heat at low cutting speeds, enabling stable, repeatable cuts on a wide range of stainless steels (ISO P30-P50 / K25-K40).
  • Sub-micron BMK grade with triple PVD coating: delivers extreme heat resistance and smooth cutting for challenging materials, providing longer tool life and consistent finishes (ISO K10-K20).
  • Optimized boring-bar geometry (5.1 mm min dia, 22 mm reach, R0.1): compact form and precise nose radius support reliable insert seating, reduced chatter, and predictable performance in tight bores.

With its dual coating options and precise geometry, the Carmex Tiny Tool empowers you to tackle small-diameter boring and turning tasks with confidence. You can reduce tool changes and cycle times thanks to longer wear life and reliable performance across stainless steels and other materials. The robust carbide substrate and engineered coatings resist heat and wear, delivering consistent finishes and tight tolerances even in demanding settings.
