Built for high-pressure cooling, this collet features an integral metal seal and a design that minimizes coolant loss. Newer versions use a metal-to-metal seal with no rubber seal on the nose, enhancing longevity in challenging environments. The longitudinal slots do not overlap at the center to prevent coolant from escaping the seal. To preserve sealing performance, use only round-shank tooling with no clamping flats—tools with flats will render the seal ineffective.
