Designed for high-pressure coolant, its integral metal seal withstands up to 120 bar of coolant pressure. Newer versions have no rubber seal on the nose, and the longitudinal slots are arranged so they do not overlap at the center, reducing the risk of coolant loss. For optimal sealing, use only round-shank tooling with no clamping flats; tools with flats will render the seal ineffective.
