Description
The Carmex Small Indexable Carbide Insert for face grooving creates precise full-radius grooves with an external configuration, designed for small-bore operations. Built to perform across a range of materials, it pairs reliable geometry with a tough BLU PVD coated carbide substrate.
- External face grooving insert: Indexable design for controlled, repeatable groove creation with a full-radius profile (R1.5).
- Groove geometry: Full-radius groove yields smooth inner corners and consistent depth across passes.
- Min. bore: Ø Min.Bore 12.0 mm (0.47 in) for compact applications.
- Width: 3.0 mm cutting width for precise depth control.
- Material & coating: Carbide grade BLU with a triple-layer PVD coating of sub-micron thickness for enhanced wear resistance.
- Insert size: T10 size for precise positioning on tooling setups.
- Material compatibility: Suitable for stainless steels, cast iron, titanium, non-ferrous metals, and most high-temperature alloys (M10–M20, K05–K20, N10–N20, S10–S20).
