The Dormer Pramet A413 straight-shank drill is a compact, short-series HSS drill designed to prepare counterbored clearance holes for standard metric threads. Its straight shank and versatile design make it suitable for a wide range of machines, from CNC mills to traditional drill presses, delivering reliable hole preparation in one setup.
The combination of an 118° pilot and a 180° counterbore is engineered to create the correct clearance drilling diameter and depth for standard metric threads, ensuring consistent thread engagement. A steam oxide finish helps reduce sticking and built‑up material on the cutting edge, contributing to smoother cuts and longer tool life. Made from premium high-speed steel, it performs reliably across materials such as steel, aluminium, and stainless steel.
