The Dormer Pramet A413 M6 HSS Straight Shank Step Drill is a purpose-built tool for creating counterbored clearance holes for standard metric threads. Designed for use in both CNC and conventional machines, this short-series drill features a 118° pilot and a 180° counter bore to ensure accurate hole preparation in a single operation.
Manufactured with premium HSS and finished with a steam oxide coating, it resists workpiece sticking and maintains cutting performance across a range of materials, including steel, aluminium, and stainless steel. The pilot diameter and length are specifically engineered to deliver the correct clearance drilling diameter and depth for standard threaded assemblies.
