Description
The Carmex Polygon Swiss Line Insert for Grooving is a right-hand, indexable turning tool designed for Swiss-type and automatic lathes. Built for high-volume, cost-efficient machining, it supports external grooving, back/front turning, profiling, thread turning, parting, and general turning tasks with reliable performance on small to medium parts.
As part of the Swiss Line family, this insert features grounded cutting edges for stable, repeatable cuts and the ability to index the inserts directly on the machine—so you can change inserts quickly without removing the tool. When used with the coated holders, the system delivers enhanced abrasion resistance, helping the tool withstand tough materials and long production runs.
- Grounded cutting edges: Deliver stable, precise cuts for clean grooves and profiles, improving surface finish and extending insert life in high-speed turning on Swiss-type machines.
- Direct indexing on the machine: Allows fast, tool-free insert changes without removing the holder, reducing setup time and keeping production moving.
- Abrasion-resistant coated holders: Shield the tool from wear and heat, decreasing downtime and extending tool life in demanding materials and continuous runs.
This combination makes the Carmex Polygon Swiss Line Insert a dependable choice for shops aiming to maximize uptime, consistency, and throughput on Swiss-style turning applications.
