Description
The Carmex Carbide Tiny Tool is a precision solid carbide bar engineered specifically for face grooving. Built for professional shops, it delivers clean, straight grooves with reliable chip control across a range of materials. This left-hand version features an 8 mm minimum diameter and a 1.5 mm groove width, making it a stable choice for precise groove depth control.
Two coating families within the Tiny Tools line give you options for different jobs. The BXC grade uses a PVD TiN coating optimized for low cutting speeds and excellent stainless steel performance (ISO P30-P50 / K25-K40). The BMK grade uses a sub-micron structure with a triple PVD coating for extremely high heat resistance and smooth cutting, suitable as a general-purpose tool across materials (ISO K10-K20).
- Coatings optimized for versatile stainless steel work: BXC TiN coating enables reliable performance at low cutting speeds, reducing wear and extending tool life when machining stainless steels and related alloys.
- Designed for straight grooves with chip control: Face grooving with an integrated chip breaker yields straight, burr-free grooves and better surface finish, with built-in chip management that minimizes downtime.
- BMK triple-coated durability for demanding jobs: Sub-micron BMK grade with advanced PVD triple coating provides exceptional heat resistance and smooth cutting, making it a dependable option for general-purpose use across materials.
This tool helps you achieve repeatable groove geometry, longer tool life, and smoother workflows. The combination of straight-groove design, effective chip control, and robust coatings reduces rework and maintenance while delivering reliable results in both production and prototyping. With the left-hand orientation and defined 8 mm minimum diameter by 1.5 mm groove width, you can set up quickly and execute precise, high-quality grooves across stainless steels and other materials.

- DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex VAT*). Standard next day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
