The Vortex 5C Imperial Lathe Collet in Hex 7/16" is an emergency, re-boreable solution for machinists who need flexible, precise gripping in a 5C lathe chuck. Designed to adapt to hex-shaped components, it delivers reliable performance when standard collets aren’t a perfect fit.
- 5C Emergency Collet: Soft construction that can be bored to size, depth, taper, or shape to match a specific component.
- 13–15 Micron Runout: Ensures tight concentricity and improves accuracy during turning of hex workpieces.
- Pins to Keep Bore Open: Pins are fitted to hold the collet open during the boring operation in a 5C lathe collet chuck.
- Re-boreable Design: Can be bored many times over to accommodate larger parts as needs change—no need to discard the pins.
- Hex 7/16" Compatibility: Specifically built to grip hex-shaped workpieces with a 7/16" size profile.

- DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex VAT*). Standard next day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
