Description
The VCOIL Plug Gauge (NoGo) is a precision Go/No-Go thread gauge designed for UN (STI) right-hand Helicoil applications. It combines fast, accurate checking of both go and no-go conditions in a single tool sized for 3B class threads (1‑7/8 x 8).
- Gauge Type: Go/No-Go thread limit plug gauge for UN (STI) right-hand Helicoil threads, 3B class
- Standards Compliance: Manufactured and assessed to ANSI/ASME thread system specifications
- Go End: Screws into the thread cut in a part by hand without using excessive force
- No-Go End: Must not be screwed in more than two turns into the cut thread in normal use
- Scrap Indicator: Scrap side is distinctly marked with a red ring for quick identification
- Size Designation: 3B thread gauge corresponding to 1-7/8 x 8 specifications
- Reference Condition: Parts and gauges referenced at 20°C to ensure consistent measurements
This single-purpose tool helps shop floors and quality labs verify that Helicoil inserts meet exact tolerances, preventing undersized or oversized threads that can compromise assembly strength or service life. The Go/No-Go design delivers rapid pass/fail results, reducing rework and scrap while supporting consistent, repeatable thread production.
