The Carmex Carbide Threading Insert for ACME threads (21I10ACME) is a TiAlN-coated carbide solution engineered for reliable, multi-profile threading. It’s built for professionals who want durable performance across common thread forms with fewer tool changes.
- TiAlN coating: Titanium aluminium nitride coating enhances wear resistance and heat tolerance for longer edge life in demanding machining conditions.
- Carbide body: Solid carbide construction delivers rigidity and precision for clean, accurate threads.
- Five length options: Available in 12 mm, 16 mm, 25 mm, 32 mm, and 40 mm lengths to fit a range of workpieces and depths.
- Double-sided edges: Most inserts have two cutting edges for extended use before indexing, reducing tool changes (excludes BSPT/NPT/NPTF/American Buttress/API RD variants).
- Internal & external capability: For many thread profiles, the same insert can machine both internal and external threads, increasing versatility (excludes ISO/UN/NPSM/UNJ/Acme profiles).
- Wide pitch range: Depending on length, supports pitches from 0.5 mm (32 TPI) to 6.0 mm (4 TPI) for broad threading applications.
