The Carmex Carbide Tiny Tool - Boring Bar (MTR) is a precision solid carbide bar designed for tight bores and general turning tasks. With a 3.1 mm minimum diameter, 15 mm reach, and an R0.2 corner radius, it delivers stable cutting in confined spaces while preserving hole accuracy. This compact tooling is well-suited for engineers, machinists, hobbyists, and buyers who value reliable, versatile performance.
Two coated grades extend the tool's capabilities: BXC and BMK. BXC uses a PVD TiN coating for low-speed cutting and works well with stainless steels (ISO P30-P50 / K25-K40). BMK features a sub-micron structure with an advanced PVD triple coating for exceptional heat resistance and smooth cutting across a broad material range, making it a strong general-purpose option.
- Ultra-precise, compact geometry: The 3.1 mm minimum diameter, 15 mm reach, and R0.2 corner radius let you access tight bores and maintain dimensional control without sacrificing rigidity.
- PVD TiN coating for lower wear and stainless steel efficiency: BXC grade provides reduced wear and friction at lower cutting speeds, helping extend tool life and maintain surface quality when machining stainless steels (ISO P30-P50 / K25-K40).
- BMK grade for high-heat performance and durability: Sub-micron structure with advanced PVD triple coating delivers superior heat resistance and smooth cutting across many materials, supporting demanding jobs and consistent results.
