Description
The Vortex Carbide End Mill for Aluminum & Non-Ferrous is engineered for high-speed machining of aluminum and other non-ferrous metals. It combines a premium solid carbide body with a rainbow Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating to deliver extended tool life and a superior surface finish in demanding production environments.
- Diameter & Length: 5 mm diameter x 75 mm overall length for a compact footprint in tight pockets and precision cavities.
- Coating: Rainbow-colored DLC coating reduces friction and heat buildup, minimizes built-up edge, and supports higher feeders and speeds.
- Material: Solid carbide construction delivers hardness and wear resistance to maintain edge sharpness through extended cutting cycles.
- Flute Design: 3-flute configuration provides more cutting edges for stability and improved surface finish while maintaining good chip clearance.
- Geometry: Variable Hi-Helix geometry across the three flutes disrupts harmonic vibrations, reduces chatter, and enhances dimensional accuracy across passes.
- Chip Evacuation: Optimized flute geometry supports continuous chip evacuation in both slotting and profiling operations, helping prevent jamming.
