Description
Engineered for precision metalworking, the Vortex HSS Slitting Saw delivers clean, accurate slots and smooth milling finishes for machinists and fabricators who demand reliable performance. Sized for imperial setups, this 8" fine-pitch saw fits standard 1" arbors and is built to maintain tight tolerances through demanding cuts.
- Size and fit: 8" diameter, 3/32" width, 1" bore; designed to work with standard imperial arbors for easy integration into existing setups.
- Material and finish: HSS (high-speed steel) body with a bright finish, typical of DIN stock designed for durability and reliable cutting in metalworking environments.
- Tooth count and pitch: 200 teeth (fine pitch) for a smooth, narrow kerf and refined edge quality on solid and mild to medium-hard metals.
- Ground geometry: Hollow ground to bore to provide side clearance, reducing rubbing and improving efficiency on deep cuts.
- Precision tolerances: Kerf tolerances within +/- 0.001" to support consistent slotting and milling results across passes.
The combination of a large 8" diameter with a high-tooth-count design enables efficient material removal while maintaining precise dimensions, making this slitting saw ideal for keyway slots, narrow trenches, and precise milling operations in steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
