The Vortex HSS Slitting Saw is a precision-cutting solution built for machinists who demand clean, repeatable slots in metal. This fine-pitch, imperial-size saw delivers reliable performance for slotting, grooving, and light milling in steel and other metals.
- Diameter: 2.25 inches (57.15 mm) cutting diameter
- Teeth: 120-teeth fine-pitch configuration
- Kerf: 0.040 inches (1.02 mm)
- Bore: 5/8 inch (15.88 mm) hollow-ground bore for side clearance
- Material/Construction: High-speed steel cutting edges on a DIN-stock body (M2 steel) with a bright finish
- Ground geometry: Hollow-ground to the bore to minimize rubbing and improve slotting clearance
- Tolerance: Tight kerf tolerances within +/- 0.001 inch
Why this matters: the fine 120-tooth geometry yields narrow, smooth slots with minimal burrs, ideal for precise keyways or narrow slots in steel, cast iron, and other metals.
