Designed for precision metalworking, the Vortex HSS Slitting Saw is a fine-pitch, imperial cutter built to deliver clean, repeatable slots. With a 1-1/4" diameter and 60 teeth, it excels at creating narrow, accurate slots in steel and other metals when mounted on standard milling equipment.
- Diameter: 1-1/4" (31.75 mm) cutting circle for precise slotting
- Teeth: 60 teeth; fine-pitch design for smooth, controlled cuts
- Kerf: 0.025" (0.63 mm) for narrow, efficient material removal
- Bore: 3/8" (9.5 mm) bore to fit common slitting arbors
- Material and Finish: HSS (M2) body with bright finish, built to handle repeated cuts
- Ground to Bore: Hollow ground to the bore to maximize side clearance and reduce rubbing
- Tolerances: Kerf tolerance within +/- 0.001" for consistent slot widths
- Construction Standards: DIN stock; premium manufacturing quality for reliability
When you need precise, repeatable slots, this Vortex HSS Slitting Saw combines longevity with accuracy. The fine 60-tooth pitch minimizes burrs and heat, while the hollow ground bore and tight kerf tolerance deliver consistent slot widths across passes. The imperial sizing keeps it compatible with common milling machines, and the 3/8" arbor bore provides solid support with reduced runout, boosting tool life and cut quality in aluminum, mild steel, brass, and other compatible metals. Use it for slotting, keyway preparation, or production runs where tight tolerances matter.
