Description
The Vortex HSS Slitting Saw is a purpose-built tool for metalworking pros who need precise, repeatable slots in steel, aluminum, and other alloys. This imperial-sized cutter delivers dependable performance with a 4" diameter, 34 teeth, and a 1" bore for versatile arbor compatibility.
- Diameter: 4" (102 mm) — a balanced size for mid-depth slotting without excessive cutting forces
- Teeth: 34 teeth — optimized for a smooth balance between fast material removal and clean slot edges
- Pitch: Coarse pitch — designed for efficient cutting in tough metals while maintaining edge quality
- Kerf Width: 7/64" (2.78 mm) — precise slot width with tight tolerances
- Bore: 1" (25.4 mm) — standard imperial bore to fit common slitting arbors
- Material & Construction: HSS with a M2 steel body and bright finish; hollow ground to the bore for optimal side clearance
- Ground to Bore: Hollow-ground design enables side clearance and reduces rubbing at the bore
- Stock & Tolerance: DIN stock, built for consistent kerf and reliable dimension control, with kerf tolerances within +/- 0.001"

- DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex VAT*). Standard next day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
