Description
BaerCoil UNF thread inserts 7/16 x 20 (2XD) are precision-engineered stainless steel fasteners designed to create durable, repairable threads in softer base materials. Built for engineers and technicians who need reliable, long-lasting joints, these inserts deliver superior wear resistance and consistent torque performance in challenging environments.
- Thread size: UNF 7/16 x 20
- Material: Austenitic chromium-nickel steel (AISI 304) with minimum tensile strength of 1400 N/mm2
- Cross-section: Rhombic profile achieved through cold-form swaging for optimal load distribution and maximum space utilization
- Insertion depth: 2XD (two times the nominal diameter) for secure, deep engagement
- Corrosion and heat resistance: Excellent resistance to corrosion and elevated temperatures, boosting durability in harsh conditions
- Finish and compatibility: Engineered to provide a smooth surface finish that reduces wear on mating threads and supports reliable reusability
BaerCoil thread inserts deliver a clearer, more lasting thread connection by improving wear resistance, abrasion resistance, surface finish, corrosion resistance, and heat resistance versus standard screw connections. The rhombic swaged profile distributes load effectively, helping prevent thread stripping and enabling repeated assemblies without compromising strength. Ideal for retrofit or new-build projects where durable, high-quality threads are essential in aluminum or other softer base materials, these inserts extend service life and maintain consistent torque across cycles.
