The Carmex Carbide Tiny Tool - Face Grooving with Chip Breaker (MFL-C, BMK Grade) is a solid carbide bar engineered specifically for face grooving. It delivers clean, straight grooves with consistent walls, making it ideal for engineers, machinists, and hobbyists who demand reliable results. Designed for left-hand setups, it features an 8 mm minimum diameter and a 2 mm groove width to ensure a repeatable groove profile across compatible tools and fixtures.
Two coating families in the Tiny Tools line maximize performance across speeds and materials. BMK grade uses a sub-micron structure with an advanced PVD triple coating, delivering extremely high heat resistance and smooth cutting for maximum performance on a wide range of materials (ISO K10–K20). For low-speed cutting and stainless steels, the BXC TiN-coated grade provides efficient, stable performance (ISO P30–P50 / K25–K40). Together, they help maintain groove accuracy and extend tool life while remaining versatile for general use.
- Straight-groove precision for face grooving: Produces defined, straight grooves with clean edges, enhancing dimensional accuracy and reducing post-processing across stainless steels and other materials.
- High-heat, low-friction BMK coating: Sub-micron BMK with triple PVD coating delivers excellent heat resistance and smooth cutting, supporting consistent performance and longer tool life under demanding conditions.
