The Carmex Carbide Tiny Tool – Face Grooving with Chip Breaker (MFR-C, BMK Grade) is a purpose-built solid carbide bar designed specifically for face grooving. It delivers straight grooves with clean edges and reliable chip control, giving you repeatable results across a range of materials.
With a 6 mm minimum diameter and a 2 mm groove width, this tool supports precise, controlled slotting in stainless steels and other common alloys. The BMK-grade construction features a sub-micron substrate and advanced PVD coating for outstanding heat resistance and smooth cutting, making it a dependable choice for production, workshops, and hobbyist projects.
- Straight-groove geometry with chip breaker: Produces clean, straight grooves with controlled chip flow for consistent depth and easier finishing passes.
- BMK sub-micron grade with triple PVD coating: Delivers exceptional wear resistance and high heat tolerance for long tool life and smooth cutting across a wide range of materials.
- BXC TiN coating for low-speed stainless work: Optimizes performance at lower cutting speeds on stainless steels (ISO P30-P50 / K25-K40), helping reduce built-up edge and improve finish.

Yes! We offer Free Next Day delivery via Royal Mail Tracked 24 on all orders over £50 ex VAT*. We also offer Free DPD Local Next Day delivery on all orders over £100 ex VAT*.
