The Carmex Carbide Tiny Tool is a compact, solid carbide tool built for precise full-radius grooving on small-diameter workpieces. Its robust carbide core and carefully engineered geometry deliver dependable cutting performance in tight spaces, and it can also be used for general turning tasks. Key specs include a 5.1 mm minimum diameter, 2 mm groove width, and a 15 mm reach with a left-hand orientation, making it ready for common turning setups.
Choose from two coating grades to match your material and speed: the BXC grade with a PVD TiN coating for low cutting speeds and stainless steels (ISO P30-P50 / K25-K40), and the BMK grade featuring a sub-micron carbide substrate with a triple PVD coating for exceptional heat resistance and smooth cutting (ISO K10-K20). This dual-grade lineup lets you optimize tool life and finish without changing the geometry.
- Full-radius grooving and turning versatility: Specifically designed to produce clean, full-radius grooves on small-diameter parts, while still performing reliably for general turning tasks, helping you reduce secondary operations and improve edge quality.
- Two high-performance coating grades: BXC TiN-coated for efficient cutting at low speeds on stainless steel, and BMK triple-coated sub-micron grade for maximum heat resistance and smoother cuts across a wider range of materials.
- Compact left-hand geometry with reliable reach: 15 mm reach in a left-hand configuration provides easy access to tight grooves, minimizes overhang, and helps reduce vibration for consistent, repeatable results.
With its solid carbide construction and purpose-built coatings, this tool delivers repeatable, high-quality grooves and longer tool life across stainless steels and other materials.
