Carmex Carbide Mini Thread Mills are compact, high-performance tools designed to thread-mill UN family threads with precision, speed, and reliability. Built for production environments and precision work, they handle a wide range of materials while supporting deep-hole applications.
- Thread compatibility: UN family threads (UNC, UNF, UNEF, UNS) supported for versatile threading in a single tool configuration.
- Size and shank: No. 2 and No. 3 cutting diameters, 56 mm overall length, MT7 shank for broad machine compatibility.
- Material and coating: Sub-Micron MT7 carbide with a multi-layer Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAlN) coating (ISO K10–K20) for superior wear resistance and extended tool life.
- Through-coolant efficiency: Coolant through the flutes enhances lubrication and chip evacuation, especially effective in deep-hole threading.
- Flute design: Spiral flutes provide a smooth cutting action, while a 3–5 flute configuration reduces machining time and improves stability.
- Performance at speed: Optimized for medium to high cutting speeds, enabling faster cycle times without sacrificing thread quality.
- Materials and tooling window: General-purpose performance across most materials, with proven capability to machine hardened workpieces up to 45 HRc.
- Versatility: The same tool can produce a wide range of thread pitches and can generate both internal and external threads, simplifying tooling strategies.
