Description
The Carmex Thread Mills Carbide Mini Type is a compact, high-performance threading tool designed for precise internal and external threads at 5/8-11 UNC family sizes, compatible with UN, UNC, UNF, UNEF and UNS standards. Crafted for medium to high cutting speeds, it delivers fast, reliable thread milling in a wide range of materials without tapping.
- Thread forms supported: UN, UNC, UNF, UNEF, UNS
- Thread size and shank: 5/8" x 11 TPI with MT7 shank for rigid, accurate threading
- Material and coating: Sub-micron MT7 carbide with a TiAlN multi-layer coating (ISO K10–K20) for extended life
- Flute design: Spiral flutes for smooth cutting action and efficient chip evacuation
- Number of flutes: 3–5 flutes to shorten machining time and improve rigidity
- Coolant delivery: Through-flutes provides effective coolant supply, ideal for deep-hole threading
- Machining speeds: Optimized for medium to high cutting speeds to reduce cycle times
- Deep-hole capability: Designed to enable threading in deep holes with stable performance
- Versatility: One tool can produce a wide range of pitches and both external and internal threads
- Material hardness: Capable of machining hardened materials up to 45 HRC
- Coating advantage: Triple-layer coating extends tool life and maintains edge integrity across jobs
This mini thread mill excels where precision, speed, and reliability matter most—whether threading holes in hardened components or producing a variety of thread pitches with a single, interchangeable tool. Its through-coolant system and compact profile minimize heat and cutting forces, helping you achieve clean, accurate threads with fewer tool changes and less downtime. Ideal for automotive, aerospace, moldmaking, and general engineering applications where 5/8-11 threads on tough materials are routine.

Yes! We offer Free Next Day delivery via Royal Mail Tracked 24 on all orders over £50 ex VAT*. We also offer Free DPD Local Next Day delivery on all orders over £100 ex VAT*.
We also offer the following:
- Royal Mail Tracked 24 — £5.90 (FREE on orders over £50 ex VAT*). Order before 4:30pm for next day delivery. No signature required.
- DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex VAT*). Standard next day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
