Description
The Carmex Thread Mills Carbide Mini Type MT7 is a compact, high-performance threading tool designed for precision internal and external threads in deep holes. It’s built for engineers and machinists who demand speed, versatility, and consistent results from a single tool.
- Thread profiles: Supports UNC, UNF, UNEF, UNS formats, enabling a wide range of thread standards with one tool
- Sizes & shank: Diameters of 5/16" and 3/8" with MT7 shank for compatibility with standard milling setups
- Thread pitch: 24 TPI (5/16 and 3/8 line sizes) to cover common thread requirements
- Material & coating: Carbide MT7 substrate with a sub-micron TiAlN multi-layer coating (ISO K10–K20) for durability
- Coating advantages: Special triple coating increases tool life and resistance to wear in tough materials
- Flute design: Spiral flutes provide smooth cutting action and allow coolant flow through the flutes for deep-hole threading
- Flute count: Multi-flute configuration (3–5 flutes) reduces machining time without sacrificing thread quality
- Cutting speed: Optimized for medium to high cutting speeds, delivering efficient, consistent threads
