Description
The Carmex Small Indexable Carbide Grooving Insert is engineered for precise groove cutting in turning operations, offering reliable performance across a range of metals.
- Designed for groove cutting: Optimized to create accurate grooves with clean finishes in turning applications.
- Minimum bore diameter: 9.4 mm / 0.37 in.
- Substrate and coating: Carbide with BLU PVD triple-layer coating (sub-micron grade) for enhanced wear resistance.
- Material compatibility: Suitable for stainless steels, cast iron, titanium, non-ferrous metals, and most high-temperature alloys (M10-M20, K05-K20, N10-N20, S10-S20).
By combining a carbide substrate with a BLU PVD triple-layer coating, this insert delivers durable performance across a broad range of metals while maintaining groove accuracy. The design supports stable cutting conditions, reduces edge wear, and minimizes downtime from tool changes, helping you sustain productivity in grooving operations.

Yes! We offer Free Next Day delivery via Royal Mail Tracked 24 on all orders over £50 ex VAT*. We also offer Free DPD Local Next Day delivery on all orders over £100 ex VAT*.
We also offer the following:
- Royal Mail Tracked 24 — £5.90 (FREE on orders over £50 ex VAT*). Order before 4:30pm for next day delivery. No signature required.
- DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex VAT*). Standard next day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
