Description
This Vortex long-neck ball nose end mill is a precision CNC cutting tool engineered for micro-milling and detailed 3D contouring. Featuring a 0.4mm cutting diameter, a 5mm neck reach, and a titanium silicon nitride (TiSiN) coating, it is designed for operators machining tight, deep pockets and intricate geometries.
- Ball Nose and 2 Flute Design: The precision-ground hemispherical tip and two helical flutes ensure smooth chip evacuation and accurate finishing on complex 3D contours.
- Long Neck Reach: The extended 5mm neck length allows the 0.4mm cutter to access deep, narrow pockets and confined spaces that standard shank tools cannot reach.
- TiSiN Coating: The copper-colored titanium silicon nitride coating enhances flute surface hardness, reduces friction, and extends tool life during continuous cutting operations.
- Micro-Diameter Cutting Edge: With a 0.4mm diameter, it is manufactured for intricate engraving, fine detailing, and precision work on aluminum, copper, and engineered plastics.
The extended neck geometry combined with micro-diameter cutting edges reduces tool changeovers when programming complex part profiles. The TiSiN coating minimizes built-up edge and thermal deformation, delivering consistent dimensional accuracy and reliable surface finishes across extended production runs.
