The Carmex Carbide Tiny Tool is a solid carbide bar designed for precise full-radius grooving, and it can also handle a variety of general turning tasks. It’s a versatile choice for engineers, machinists, tradespeople, and hobbyists who value reliable grooves and smooth finishes.
This tool features a 6.1 mm minimum diameter and a 2 mm groove width, with a 15 mm reach in a left-hand configuration, making it suitable for tight setups and challenging contours.
- Two coating grades for versatile performance: Choose BXC for low-speed cuts on a broad range of stainless steels (ISO P30-P50 / K25-K40) with a PVD TiN finish, or select BMK for extremely high heat resistance and smooth cutting (ISO K10-K20) thanks to a sub-micron grade with triple PVD coating. General-purpose capability across materials supports diverse machining needs.
- Designed for full-radius grooving and turning versatility: Specifically engineered to handle full-radius grooving, it also serves well for general turning tasks, reducing tool swaps and expanding what you can accomplish in a single setup.
- Compact geometry with a durable carbide core: The tool’s precise 6.1 mm minimum diameter and 2 mm groove width, paired with a 15 mm reach in left-hand configuration, provide stable cutting performance and predictable groove profiles in tight or intricate applications.
