The Vortex Indexable U-Drill (14 mm diameter) is a versatile, general-purpose drilling solution designed for metalworking across steels, stainless steels, cast iron, exotics, and non-ferrous materials. It uses SPMG/SPKX ISO inserts and supports internal through coolant for reliable, efficient performance.

By combining an indexable insert system with through-coolant delivery, this U-Drill delivers precise, consistent holes with longer insert life and better heat management. The 2xD depth is ideal for shallow-to-mid-depth drilling across a variety of materials, while the option to choose compatible holders (2xD, 3xD, 4xD) and SPMG/SPKX inserts helps optimize cutting conditions and tool life. This platform enables efficient tool changes and reliable performance in everyday drilling tasks.
