BaerCoil Thread Insert BSW - 1 1/8 x 7 - 2xD is a stainless steel threaded insert designed to create robust, long-lasting tapped holes in metal components. Built for engineers, machinists, and DIY enthusiasts who demand reliable, wear-resistant connections.

  • Size and thread: BSW size 1-1/8 in major diameter with 7 threads per inch, compatible with standard BSW applications.
  • Material: Austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel (AISI 304), with a tensile strength of at least 1400 N/mm2.
  • Cross-section and manufacture: Rhombic cross-section produced by cold-form swaging for improved engagement and efficient axial space use.
  • Insertion depth: Depth of 2xD (twice the major diameter) to maximize thread engagement and load transfer.
  • Performance advantages: Superior wear resistance, reduced thread abrasion, smoother surface finish, and enhanced corrosion and heat resistance compared with standard screw connections.

BaerCoil inserts help prevent thread stripping in softer base materials, extend component life in high-cycle or high-temperature environments, and provide dependable performance in assemblies subject to vibration or dynamic loads.
