Description
BaerCoil BSW thread inserts provide a robust, high-strength threaded anchor for 3/8-16 fastener applications. Designed for professional machinists and fabricators, these stainless steel inserts deliver dependable performance in demanding metal assemblies.
- Material: Austenitic chromium-nickel steel (AISI 304) with a tensile strength of at least 1400 N/mm2 for lasting durability.
- Cross‑section: Rhombic profile achieved through cold-form swaging, enabling stronger engagement and maximum use of available space in the hole.
- Thread size: 3/8-16 BSW threads to fit standard British Whitworth specifications.
- Insertion length: 1.5 × D (1.5 times the nominal diameter) to ensure reliable grip and load distribution.
- Performance advantages: Superior wear resistance, reduced thread abrasion, improved surface finish, and enhanced corrosion and heat resistance versus ordinary threaded connections.
- Manufacturing precision: Cold-form swaging creates a tight, uniform insert that maintains consistent thread integrity under repeated use.

- DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex VAT*). Standard next day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
