Dormer Pramet A620 7.80 mm HSS-E STRAIGHT SHANK STAINLESS STEEL STUB DRILL X2.5D DIN 1897

The Dormer Pramet A620 HSS-E Straight Shank Stub Drill is a high‑performance drilling solution designed for stainless steel and other tough materials. Built for engineers, machinists, and workshop professionals, this 7.80 mm drill delivers reliable, precise holes in demanding applications.

Made from HSS-E (high‑speed steel with cobalt), it stands up to heat and wear, while the stub length provides exceptional rigidity. Designed to DIN 1897 standards with a 2.5xD depth ratio, it excels in tight spaces where accuracy matters and finishing quality is critical.

• Stub-length rigidity for precise holes: The short, rigid flute geometry minimizes deflection during cutting, delivering cleaner, more accurate holes even in stainless steel and other hard materials.
• HSS‑E cobalt alloy for heat and wear resistance: The cobalt‑enhanced composition maintains cutting performance under high temperatures, boosting tool life and reducing wear-related issues.
• DIN 1897 compliant with 2.5xD depth for tight spaces: Designed to standard dimensions with a deep relative reach, enabling efficient, repeatable drilling in restricted work areas.

In real-world use, this drill helps you maintain throughput and accuracy across a range of tough jobs—from stainless steel components to hard alloys—by delivering consistent hole quality with minimal deflection and reliable performance. Its robust construction and standard-compliant design ensure you can rely on it for daily machining tasks, reducing downtime and rework while supporting precise, repeatable results.
