Dormer Pramet A620 8.70 mm HSS-E STRAIGHT SHANK STAINLESS STEEL STUB DRILL X2.5D DIN 1897

The Dormer Pramet A620 HSS-E Straight Shank Stub Drill is designed for high-performance drilling in stainless steel and other tough materials. Crafted from HSS-E (high-speed steel with cobalt), it delivers exceptional heat resistance and durability to keep cutting temperatures manageable and extend tool life. The straight shank provides reliable grip in standard chucks, while the stub length adds rigidity for precise, clean holes, even in challenging setups.

Designed to DIN 1897 standards, this drill features a 2.5xD depth ratio, making it ideal for precision work in restricted spaces. Whether you’re producing stainless components, automotive hardware, or demanding machined parts, this drill helps you achieve consistent hole quality and reliable results with every cut.

• Rigid stub geometry: Short, reinforced flute length minimizes deflection and chatter, helping you achieve accurate hole placement and a smooth finish.
• HSS‑E cobalt alloy: Combines high hardness with excellent heat resistance for longer life when drilling stainless steel and other tough materials.
• DIN 1897 compliance with 2.5D depth: Standardized sizing and sufficient reach for precise, deeper holes in tight spaces without retooling.

This drill supports efficient workflows for engineers, machinists, and hobbyists who demand consistent results. It enables confident, on‑time production in demanding applications by delivering repeatable hole quality, reducing rework, and maintaining performance across multiple jobs.
