Description
The VCOIL Plug Gauge (D/E) is a metric, right-hand thread plug gauge designed for Helicoil applications. It combines go/no-go testing in a single tool to ensure threads meet strict ANSI/ASME standards.
- Type: Thread limit plug gauge (go/no-go) for precise thread validation
- End configuration: D/E ends with a go end and a measured scrap end for comprehensive checks
- Size: M26 x 1.5, 4H tolerance class, right-hand orientation
- Standards: Manufactured and assessed to ANSI/ASME thread system; reference temperature 20°C
- Markings: Scrap side clearly identified with a red ring for quick discrimination
- Construction: Knurled body and precision-machined ends for reliable handling and consistent readings
The go end should screw into the thread cut in a part by hand with light to moderate effort. If it fails to thread in by hand, the part’s thread does not meet the required standard. The scrap end must not be able to be turned more than two full turns in the cut thread; exceeding this limit indicates nonconformance. This gauge helps ensure helicoil installations and tapped holes meet exacting tolerances, reducing misfit risk and rework. The 20°C reference maintains consistency across environments, so readings stay reliable from shop to shop.

- DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex VAT*). Standard next day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
