The Carmex Carbide Tiny Tool is a precision solid carbide bar designed for full-radius grooving and general turning. Built for tight work envelopes, it suits engineers, machinists, and hobbyists who need repeatable grooves in stainless steels and a broad range of materials. Key specifications include a 5.1 mm minimum diameter, a 2 mm groove width, and a 15 mm reach in a left-hand configuration.
- Two coating grades for tailored performance: BXC TiN-coated grade is optimized for low cutting speeds and broad stainless-steel compatibility (ISO P30-P50 / K25-K40), while BMK is a sub-micron grade with triple PVD coating for extremely high heat resistance and smooth cutting (ISO K10-K20).
- Full-radius grooving in a compact carbide bar: Precisely shaped for full-radius grooves with a 5.1 mm minimum diameter and 2 mm groove width, plus a 15 mm left-hand reach to access tight features.
- General-purpose versatility for turning and more: In addition to grooving, the BMK option provides reliable performance for general turning tasks across a wide range of materials.
