Carmex Carbide Tiny Tool is a precision solid carbide grooving bar designed to deliver full-radius grooves on small-diameter workpieces and to handle general turning tasks with ease. Its compact form and 15 mm reach enable access to tight pockets while producing clean, repeatable groove profiles. With a 5.1 mm minimum diameter and a 1.5 mm groove width, this tiny tool is built for accurate, consistent results across a range of materials.
Built in MKR - K20 grade carbide, this tool is offered with two specialized coatings to match cutting conditions: BXC, a PVD TiN-coated grade optimized for low-speed cutting on stainless steels, and BMK, a sub-micron grade with a triple PVD coating for high heat resistance and broad material compatibility. This combination provides durable, reliable performance for both dedicated grooving and general turning applications.
- Two coated performance grades: BXC TiN and BMK triple-coated variants let you tailor cutting performance to your material and speed, extending tool life and delivering consistent finishes.
- Full-radius grooving at small diameter: With a 5.1 mm minimum diameter, 1.5 mm groove width, and a 15 mm reach, you can create precise full-radius grooves in tight spaces without compromising edge quality.
