The Carmex Carbide Tiny Tool - Boring Bar is a compact, solid carbide cutting tool designed for precise small-diameter work. While it is designed primarily for boring, it also handles general turning tasks, giving you a versatile solution for tight spaces and demanding setups.
This tiny bar is offered in two coated grades—BXC and BMK—to match a wide range of materials. BXC is a PVD TiN coated grade optimized for low cutting speeds and works well with stainless steels (ISO P30-P50 / K25-K40). BMK is a sub-micron grade with an advanced PVD triple coating (ISO K10-K20), delivering extremely high heat resistance and a smooth cutting experience for general-purpose use across materials.
- Compact boring-bar geometry: 6.1 mm minimum diameter, 15 mm reach, and an R0.05 corner radius for precise, small-diameter boring and turning in tight cavities.
- Two coating grades for versatility: BXC provides efficient performance at low speeds on stainless steels; BMK offers high heat resistance and smooth cutting for a broad range of materials.
- Solid carbide durability: A rigid carbide core with advanced coatings delivers reliable cutting performance and longer tool life in demanding applications.
Designed for reliable, repeatable results, this tiny boring bar helps you achieve consistent hole quality and smooth finishes across stainless steels and other materials. Its compact size, paired with durable coatings and a robust carbide core, supports faster setups, fewer tool changes, and improved workflow in both boring and turning jobs.
