The Carmex Carbide Tiny Tool is a compact solid carbide boring bar designed for precision boring and general turning. With a 5.1 mm minimum diameter, a 22 mm reach, and a tight corner radius of R0.2, it’s built to access small bores and deliver clean, accurate finishes in a variety of materials.
This tool family offers two coated grades to match your material and speed goals: the BXC grade features a PVD TiN coating for reliable performance at lower cutting speeds and pairs well with a broad range of stainless steels (ISO P30-P50 / K25-K40); the BMK grade uses a sub-micron structure with a triple PVD coating for exceptionally high heat resistance and smooth cutting (ISO K10-K20). Both options are designed to maximize tool life and consistent results across challenging turning and boring applications.
- Versatile coatings for demanding materials: BXC TiN coating enables dependable cutting at low speeds and works well with stainless steels, expanding your material compatibility (ISO P30-P50 / K25-K40).
- Extreme heat resistance for longer life: BMK grade offers a sub-micron structure with advanced triple PVD coating, delivering outstanding heat tolerance and smoother cutting across materials (ISO K10-K20).
- Compact, precise geometry for tight cavities: 5.1 mm minimum diameter, 22 mm reach, and a precise R0.2 corner radius enable accurate boring and reliable general turning in restricted spaces.
Designed to enhance reliability and workflow, this carbide boring bar provides consistent performance from first cut to finish. The combination of robust substrate, specialized coatings, and precise geometry helps reduce tool wear, improves surface quality, and supports efficient machining across a range of materials.
