The Widin Carbide Square End Mill for Mold & Die is a high-performance cutting tool designed for precision mold and die milling. It features a 4-flute variable-index design that handles a wide range of cavity features with consistent accuracy, offering a cutting diameter span from 0.8 mm to 25.0 mm and a tight tolerance of +0/−0.03 mm. The W coating boosts durability and keeps edges sharp under demanding machining conditions.
- Broad diameter range (0.8–25.0 mm): Versatility for roughing, semi-finishing, and finishing with a single tool, reducing tool changes and inventory while covering a wide set of cavity features.
- Variable-index design with optimized helix: The first flute at 29° and the second at 31° reduce chatter and vibrations, delivering smoother cuts and longer tool life in demanding mold steels.
- Durable carbide with W coating for long life: The premium carbide substrate combined with a W coating delivers outstanding wear resistance and heat management, maintaining sharpness and stable cuts when machining mold and die steels below 55 HRc, including pre-hardened steel, alloy steel, and carbon steel.
