The Widin Carbide Square End Mill for Mold & Die is a high‑performance cutting tool designed for precision work in mold and die applications. Built with a 4‑flute, variable‑index geometry, it delivers stable, accurate cuts even in demanding materials, while a W coating enhances durability for longer tool life.
Nominal diameter: 8.5 mm. It also offers a broad cutting diameter range from 0.8 mm to 25.0 mm to cover a variety of tasks, and a tight diameter tolerance of +0 / -0.03 mm to ensure precise pocketing and sharp corners. The flute angles—29° on the first flute and 31° on the second—are engineered to reduce chatter and boost stability during high‑speed milling, helping you achieve smoother finishes with fewer passes.
- Variable-index flutes for reduced chatter: The alternating flute spacing and the 29°/31° helix design minimize vibration and resonance, extending tool life and delivering steadier cuts in mold and die materials.
- W coating for durability and stability: The advanced coating adds wear resistance and thermal stability, producing longer tool life and more consistent performance through tough cutting cycles.
