The Widin Carbide Square End Mill for Mold & Die is a high-performance cutting tool designed for precision work in mold and die machining. This 6 mm nominal diameter end mill features a 4-flute variable-index design and a W coating to deliver stable cutting, longer tool life, and reliable finishes on tough materials.
With a cutting diameter range of 1.0 mm to 20.0 mm and a tight tolerance of +0 / -0.03 mm, this end mill offers versatility for a wide range of workpieces while maintaining exact dimensions.
- 4-Flute Variable-Index Geometry: The variable-index flutes with 29° and 31° helix angles reduce vibration and chatter, improving stability, extending tool life, and delivering smooth, consistent cuts.
- Gash Tooth Design for Durability: The specialized gash tooth shape helps prevent flute chipping, enhancing reliability and reducing the risk of premature wear during demanding mold and die work.
- W-Coated Carbide for Longevity: The robust carbide substratepaired with a W coating delivers superior wear resistance, enabling efficient machining of materials below 55 HRc, including pre-hardened steel, alloy steel, and carbon steel.
