The Widin Carbide Square End Mill for Mold & Die is a precision cutting tool designed for demanding mold and die machining. It covers a cutting diameter range of 1.0 mm to 20.0 mm and measures 18 mm in diameter by 45 mm in length, with a diameter tolerance of +0 / -0.03 mm, delivering versatile, predictable performance. The four-flute, variable-index design features two helix angles (29° and 31°) to reduce chatter and improve cutting stability, while a gash tooth shape helps prevent flute chipping for durable, reliable operation and a W coating that enhances wear resistance.
- Variable-Index 4-Flute Geometry: Dual helix angles (29° and 31°) and a four-flute setup reduce vibration and heat buildup, delivering smoother cuts, longer tool life, and more consistent finishes on complex mold profiles.
- Gash Tooth Design for Durability: The specialized gash geometry minimizes flute chipping during heavy roughing and interrupted cuts, extending the tool’s usable life in tough mold and die work.
- W Coating & Broad Material Capability: The W coating boosts wear resistance for longer tool life, while the tool is capable of machining materials below 55 HRc, including pre-hardened steel, alloy steel, and carbon steel for reliable performance across demanding tasks.
