Description
The Carmex Carbide Tiny Tool is a partial-profile threading bar designed for precision internal threading in tight spaces. With a 6 mm minimum diameter and 22 mm reach, it’s ideal for engineers, machinists, and hobbyists working in confined bores. This MIR 60° partial threading tool supports 60° threading operations and is compatible with 55° profiles, making it versatile for a range of small-bore applications. It also accommodates a minimum bore diameter of 1.2 mm (0.05 inch), helping you tackle micro-threading tasks with confidence.
Two coating and grade options give you flexibility for different materials and speeds:
- 60° MIR-compatible partial threading geometry: Specifically engineered for precise internal threads in restricted spaces, with compatibility to 55° profiles and a reach of 22 mm to access deeper bores.
- BXC TiN-coated grade for low-speed cutting: PVD TiN coating reduces friction and wear, enabling reliable cutting at low speeds on stainless steels (ISO P30-P50 / K25-K40) and helping extend tool life.
- BMK sub-micron grade with triple PVD coating: Advanced triple coating delivers exceptional heat resistance and smooth cutting, providing broad, general-purpose performance across many materials (ISO K10-K20).
The combination of carbide hardness, protective coatings, and a compact geometry ensures consistent thread quality, longer tool life, and reliable results across a variety of materials.
