Description
The Carmex Carbide Tiny Tool - Threading - MIR - 60° Partial is a compact carbide threading tool designed for precise partial-profile threads in tight spaces. With a 5.1 mm minimum diameter and a 15 mm reach, it excels at small-diameter work while delivering clean, repeatable results. It can thread bores as small as 1.2 mm (0.05 in), making it suitable for delicate or constrained applications.
As part of a versatile line of partial-profile threading bars, this tool is compatible with 55° profiles to cover common standards. It is offered in two coating grades to match materials and speeds: BXC Grade — a PVD TiN coated option optimized for low cutting speeds and broad stainless steel compatibility (ISO P30-P50 / K25-K40); and BMK Grade — a sub-micron grade with advanced PVD triple coating (ISO K10-K20) that delivers exceptional heat resistance and smooth cutting, making it suitable as a general-purpose choice for all materials.
- Compact, small-diameter, long-reach design: 5.1 mm minimum diameter and 15 mm reach enable threading in tight bores and restricted spaces, while maintaining rigidity for clean, accurate threads. The tool is also capable of threading in bore sizes as small as 1.2 mm.
- Dual coating grades for versatile performance: BXC TiN coating provides reliable cutting at low speeds and broad stainless steel compatibility, while BMK’s sub-micron, triple-coated finish delivers exceptional heat resistance and smooth cutting for demanding materials.
- 60° partial-profile with 55° profile compatibility: Designed for 60° partial-profile threading and compatible with 55° profiles, offering flexible use across common standards and reducing tool-change downtime.
