Description
BaerCoil BSF thread inserts are engineered for durable, high‑strength internal threads in metal assemblies. Sized for a 3/16 in diameter with 32 threads per inch, and a length of 1.5 times the diameter, these inserts are ideal for reliable fastening in demanding applications. Made from austenitic stainless steel (AISI 304) with a tensile strength of at least 1400 N/mm2, they pair corrosion resistance with robust performance.
- Size & threading: BSF 3/16" diameter, 32 TPI, length 1.5 × D for a secure, embedded fit.
- Material: AISI 304 stainless steel (austenitic chromium-nickel) offering strong strength and corrosion resistance.
- Cross‑section geometry: Rhombic cross‑section achieved through cold‑form swaging to maximize thread engagement and efficient use of space.
- Manufacturing method: Cold‑form swaging provides consistent geometry and a tight grip within the parent material.
- Performance advantages: Improved wear resistance, reduced thread abrasion, smoother surface finish, and enhanced corrosion and heat resistance compared with standard single‑screw connections.
These inserts create a durable, repairable internal thread that distributes load effectively and extends the life of threaded holes in metal parts. They’re well suited for applications where frequent assembly and disassembly occur or where soft or thin‑walled materials would otherwise wear quickly, delivering reliable performance over many cycles.

- DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex VAT*). Standard next day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
