Description
BaerCoil BSF Thread Insert in a robust stainless steel build delivers a dependable, wear‑resistant reinforcement for BSF tapped holes. Designed for engineers and machinists, it blends strong performance with efficient use of space in tight assemblies.
- Material & strength: Austenitic chromium‑nickel steel (stainless steel AISI 304) with a minimum tensile strength of 1400 N/mm2, built for durability in demanding environments.
- Cross‑section & manufacturing: Cold‑formed swaging creates a rhombic cross‑section, optimizing thread engagement and load distribution while maximizing usable space within the hole.
- Size & threading: BSF thread insert, 1 1/2" diameter, 8 TPI, suitable for BSF tapped holes that require a robust reinforcement.
- Insertion length: Length specified as 2 × D, accommodating deeper engagement where needed for secure, long‑lasting threads.
- Performance enhancements: Improves wear resistance, reduces thread abrasion, enhances surface finish, and provides superior corrosion and heat resistance compared with typical single‑screw connections.
BaerCoil inserts are engineered to extend threaded life by distributing loads more evenly and resisting loosening in vibration‑rich or harsh environments. Ideal for critical joints in machinery, automotive components, and equipment where reliable, long‑term performance matters.

Yes! We offer Free Next Day delivery via Royal Mail Tracked 24 on all orders over £50 ex VAT*. We also offer Free DPD Local Next Day delivery on all orders over £100 ex VAT*.
We also offer the following:
- Royal Mail Tracked 24 — £5.90 (FREE on orders over £50 ex VAT*). Order before 4:30pm for next day delivery. No signature required.
- DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex VAT*). Standard next day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
