Description
BaerCoil BSF thread insert in 5/16 x 22 is a high-strength stainless-steel reinforcement designed to protect and extend the life of threaded holes in metal parts. Built for engineers and machinists who demand reliability in demanding environments, it delivers a precise, wear-resistant thread connection.
- Material: AISI 304 stainless steel (austenitic chromium-nickel) with a tensile strength of at least 1400 N/mm2, offering a natural stainless finish and superior corrosion resistance.
- Cross‑section: Rhombic swaged wire formed by cold‑forming, maximizing thread engagement and efficient use of space within the hole.
- Thread size: BSF, 5/16" diameter and 22 threads per inch, designed for accurate fit in corresponding tapped holes.
- Depth option: 2 × D installation depth recommended to ensure secure bite and even load distribution.
- Performance: Enhanced wear resistance, reduced thread abrasion, smoother surface finish, and improved corrosion and heat resistance compared with standard screw connections.
This BaerCoil insert provides a durable, reliable solution for reinforcing or renewing internal threads in metal components. Yes! We offer Free Next Day delivery via Royal Mail Tracked 24 on all orders over £50 ex VAT*. We also offer Free DPD Local Next Day delivery on all orders over £100 ex VAT*.

- Royal Mail Tracked 24 — £5.90 (FREE on orders over £50 ex VAT*). Order before 4:30pm for next day delivery. No signature required.
- DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex VAT*). Standard next day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
