Description
BaerCoil BSF thread insert designed for 3/8" holes delivers a durable, high-strength internal thread. This 3/8 x 20 BSF insert is built for demanding applications where reliability and long service life matter.
- Thread type: BSF (British Standard Fine) for precise 3/8" diameter, 20 threads per inch
- Material: Austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel (AISI 304) with a tensile strength of at least 1400 N/mm2
- Cross-section: Rhombic profile achieved through cold-form swaging, maximizing thread engagement and space utilization
- Manufacturing method: Cold-form swaging creates a tight, uniform thread path for consistent performance
- Corrosion and heat resistance: Stainless steel construction provides resilience in demanding environments
- Length: 1 × D (length proportional to the nominal diameter for predictable installation)
Using BaerCoil inserts yields a stronger thread connection with improved wear resistance, reduced thread abrasion, and a superior surface finish. The combination of material choice and the rhombic, swaged geometry delivers reliable performance in environments where durability and precision matter, helping extended life in tapped holes and components that endure vibration, temperature swings, and exposure to challenging conditions.

Yes! We offer Free Next Day delivery via Royal Mail Tracked 24 on all orders over £50 ex VAT*. We also offer Free DPD Local Next Day delivery on all orders over £100 ex VAT*.
We also offer the following:
- Royal Mail Tracked 24 — £5.90 (FREE on orders over £50 ex VAT*). Order before 4:30pm for next day delivery. No signature required.
- DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex VAT*). Standard next day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
