Dormer Pramet R459 10.20 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK LONG SERIES (X8D) DRILL

The Dormer Pramet R459 10.20 mm carbide drill is engineered for professionals and serious hobbyists who demand dependable metal drilling with precise starts and long tool life. Its long-series stepped shank ensures secure engagement in deep-hole applications, while premium carbide and a TiAlN coating resist wear for repeat use. The tool is designed to deliver clean, accurate holes across steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, with the ability to achieve high-quality results with H9 hole tolerance.

• Self-centering 140° four-facet split point: Starts holes cleanly, reduces drift, and lowers entry force for smooth, accurate starts and less guiding effort.
• TiAlN-coated carbide for longer life: Enhances wear resistance and performance when drilling tougher materials, helping the drill last longer between sharpenings.
• Special flute design with coolant feed: Improves chip evacuation and rigidity, enabling higher speeds and feeds with reliable, consistent hole quality.

Designed to streamline your workflow, the R459 delivers consistent hole quality at high speeds, reducing rework and downtime. The combination of a robust long-steck shank, durable TiAlN coating, and efficient flute/coolant design means fewer tool changes and reliable performance across a range of metals—from steel and aluminum to stainless steel. Whether you're assembling parts, fabricating components, or performing maintenance, this drill helps you complete projects faster with confidence and precision.
