Dormer Pramet R459 9.50 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK LONG SERIES (X8D) DRILL

The Dormer Pramet R459 9.50 mm carbide TiAlN FORCE-X stepped shank long series drill is a precision tool built for professionals and serious hobbyists who demand clean, accurate holes across a range of materials. Featuring a 140° four-facet split point, it helps the bit center itself quickly, reducing wandering and push force so you start every hole with confidence. It’s designed to deliver consistent results at higher speeds, while the H9 hole tolerance ensures true, repeatable accuracy.

• 140° four-facet split point for self-centering: starts holes cleanly with less wandering, reducing the effort needed to maintain precise alignment during drilling.
• TiAlN coating for longer tool life: extends service life and maintains cutting performance when drilling harder materials like stainless steel and alloyed steels.
• CTW flute design with coolant feed: increases drill strength and allows higher cutting speeds and feeds while managing heat and chip evacuation for smoother operation.

With premium carbide and a long-series stepped shank, this drill is built to deliver high-quality, accurate holes even in demanding applications. It’s an adapter-friendly choice for builders, fabricators, and maintenance teams who need reliable performance, reduced downtime, and consistent results across steel, aluminum, and stainless steel projects.
